We have our priest Pt. Chellapa Deva Ji. He happily performs weekly Ganesh Pooja, aarti and Bhajans at Temple each Sunday. Also, he performs Pooja for each festival and helps the community celebrates most festivals

Chellapa ji is disciple of Guru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. who was the founder of Kauai's Hindu Monastery, Hinduism Today magazine, and Hindu Heritage Endowment. Spiritual Journey

My name is Chellappa DevaIn 1970 I met my Guru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. He was the founder of Kauai's Hindu Monastary,Hinduism Today magazine, and Hindu Heritage Endownment. He is succeeded by Satguru Bodhinatha Velyanswami. He helped 39 temples worldwide get started by sending a small or large Ganesh murthi. That year I went to Kauai to be on a program called Task Force at the monastery. I was there helping out the monks for six months. Then I went to the San Francisco monastery to help support the monastery. Gurudeva as he was affectionately known brought me into Hinduism.I took the namakarana samskara and legally changed my name. I went back on Task Force for six months during that time one of the swamis taught me the atmarta home puja.

A true teacher would never tell you what to do. But he would give you the knowledge with which you could decide what would be best for you to do.

Life Journey

Gurudeva arranged our marriage and I went to Malaysia where I was married. We lived in Arizona for 25 years.
We helped to start the Maha Ganapati Temple of Arizona.
In 1999 Gurudeva sent a large Ganesha murthi to start the temple. Two years later 15 acres of land were gifted to build the temple on. Every sunday we had Ganesha puja and satsang. This was Gurudevas advice worship Lord Ganesha and he will build the temple. If you go to ganapati.org you can see photos of the Maha Ganapati Temple. After my wife passed on I decided to move to Spokane. My Dad lives in CDA and my brother and his wife live here. I am happy to be here all of you are great
